Whiteboard

A blank canvas to sketch, brainstorm and explain — then save it as an image.

Overview

Whiteboard: a blank canvas for your ideas

Sometimes you just need somewhere to draw — to sketch a diagram, map out an idea, explain something to a colleague on a call, or doodle while you think. This online whiteboard is exactly that: a clean, generous canvas you can draw on with a mouse, trackpad or finger, in any colour and brush size, with an eraser and undo when you slip. When you're done, save the whole thing as an image to share or keep.

It runs entirely in your browser with no account and no setup — open it and start drawing. Nothing is uploaded, so your sketches, notes and half-formed ideas stay on your device. It works just as well on a tablet with a stylus as on a laptop.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a stylus or draw on a tablet?
Yes. The whiteboard uses pointer events, so it works with a mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus, on desktop and tablets alike.
Is my drawing saved automatically?
No — it lives in the page while you work. Use Save to download it as an image before you close the tab, since refreshing clears the canvas.
Is anything uploaded?
No. All drawing happens on a canvas in your browser and the saved image is generated locally; nothing is sent to a server.
How does the eraser work?
The eraser paints over your strokes with the background colour. To remove a whole drawing, use Clear.
