The wheel spinner is a random name picker: paste a list of names or options, spin the wheel, and it lands on one at random. It is perfect for classrooms (picking who answers next), giveaways and raffles, team standups, and any decision you would rather hand to an impartial wheel.

Every entry has an exactly equal chance on each spin — the winner is chosen with a uniform random number generator and the wheel simply animates to that result. Your list is saved in your browser so it is ready next time, and nothing is ever uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wheel really random?
Yes. The winner is picked with a uniform random generator before the wheel animates, so every name has the same chance regardless of its position on the wheel.
How many names can I add?
As many as you like, though 6 to 25 keeps each slice readable. For very long lists, spin in two rounds — pick a subset, then pick the winner from it.
What does 'remove winner' do?
It takes the winner off the wheel after each spin, so you can draw a sequence of unique winners — first, second, and third prize, or a presentation order.
Is my list private?
Yes. Names are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to any server.
