Text Utility — Case Convert, Count, Clean and Replace Text Instantly

Text Utility is a lightweight workspace for manipulating plain text without switching between separate tools. Type or paste content into the editor and every statistic — character count, word count, sentence count, line count, space count, and line break count — updates as you type. Upload a .txt, .md, .csv, .html, .css, or .js file to load larger content in one click.

The tool covers eight case conversion formats, three cleaning operations, a full find-and-replace, and a specific term counter. Every action is recorded in an undo/redo history so you can step back through changes freely. Nothing leaves your browser — text is never sent to a server or stored anywhere outside the page.

How to use it
  1. 1Type or paste text into the Input Text area, or click Upload File to load a local file.
  2. 2Live statistics update immediately below the editor showing characters, words, sentences, lines, spaces, and line breaks.
  3. 3Pick a case conversion button (UPPER, lower, Title Case, Sentence, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case) to transform all text or just a selected portion.
  4. 4Use the Cleaner section to remove line breaks, strip extra spaces, or trim each line. Enter terms in the Find and Replace with fields and click Replace All.
  5. 5Type a word or phrase in the Specific Term Counter to see exactly how many times it appears.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool store my text?
No. All processing runs in your browser tab. Text is never transmitted to a server or saved beyond the current session. Closing or refreshing the page clears the editor.
Can I convert only part of the text?
Yes. Highlight any portion of text in the editor before clicking a case conversion button. The transformation applies only to the selected characters; the rest of the document stays unchanged.
What file types can I upload?
The upload button accepts .txt, .md, .csv, .html, .css, and .js files. The content is read as plain text and loaded into the editor for processing.
How many undo steps are available?
Every distinct text state is stored in the session history. You can step back through the entire editing session with Ctrl+Z or the Undo button, limited only by your browser's available memory.
