What must an invoice legally include?
Requirements vary by country, but the near-universal core is: your business name and contact details, the client's details, a unique invoice number, issue date, a clear description of goods or services, amounts, applicable tax, the total due, and payment terms. VAT-registered businesses usually must show their tax ID and the tax rate applied.
How should I number invoices?
Any consistent, sequential scheme works: INV-001, 002… or date-based like 2026-07-001. Never reuse a number, and avoid gaps if your tax authority expects strict sequences.
Can I save an invoice and edit it later?
The tool intentionally stores nothing, so download the PDF when done. For a repeat client, keep a browser tab open or re-enter details — or duplicate last month's PDF data in a minute.
Does it handle VAT / GST / sales tax?
Yes — enter any percentage in the tax field and it is applied after discount and itemized on the invoice. Label details (e.g. 'VAT 20%') can go in the notes if your jurisdiction requires specific wording.
