Overview

Piano Tiles: the reflex game where every tap is a note

Four lanes of tiles scroll down the screen and your job is simple to describe and hard to do: hit the coloured tile in each row, in order, before it reaches the bottom. Tap the wrong lane or let one escape and the run ends immediately. The board speeds up the longer you survive, so a good score is as much about staying calm as reacting quickly.

Every tile you hit plays the next note of a real melody, so a clean run does not just score points — it performs the tune. Pick from six traditional songs, or switch to Song mode to play one all the way through and win by finishing it rather than by surviving forever.

Frequently asked questions

Can I tap ahead of the tile?
No. A tap only counts once the tile it belongs to has started coming down the screen, which stops mashing all four lanes from working. Taps that land too early are ignored rather than ending your run.
Why did my run end when I hit the right lane?
Almost always because a tile below the one you aimed at was still unplayed. Tiles must be hit strictly bottom to top, so if you jump ahead the game reads it as the wrong lane.
How fast does it get?
The board starts at just over two rows per second and climbs steadily with your score, levelling off at seven rows per second. Reaching that ceiling takes a long, clean run.
Is my best score saved?
Yes, in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing site data resets it.
